Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 August 2026
DailyDeen is published by Burim Farizi, Kjeldsgårdsvej 18, 2500 Valby. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
In short
You can use DailyDeen without creating an account and without giving a name or an email address. We do not sell information to anyone, and the app shows no advertising.
What we handle
An anonymous device ID
The first time you open the app, an anonymous account is created and tied to your device. It holds no name, email or phone number. It exists only so your progress is still there next time you open the app.
Your use of the app
- Quiz results and which questions you have answered
- Prayer and dhikr tracking, if you use those features
- Notes you write yourself in the Personal Journal
This is stored so you can follow your own progress. It is linked to the anonymous device ID, not to you as a person.
Location
The app asks for your location so it can calculate prayer times and show the qibla direction. Your location is used on your device only — it is never sent to our servers and we do not store it. You may decline, in which case prayer times and qibla cannot be calculated for your position.
Notifications
Prayer and dhikr reminders are scheduled locally on your device. You switch them on and off under Settings in the app.
What we do not collect
- We do not ask for a name, email or phone number to use the app
- We do not collect your contacts, photos or files
- We use no advertising identifiers and show no ads
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
Where the data is stored
Your information is stored with Supabase on servers in the EU, and is not transferred outside the EU/EEA. Audio, video and images are delivered through Cloudflare; that is public app content only and contains no personal data. Both process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.
Buying Deen+
If you subscribe to Deen+, payment is handled by Apple or Google. We never receive your card details — only confirmation that the subscription is active.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you use the app. If you ask us to delete it, we do so without undue delay and within one month at the latest, as the GDPR requires.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to see what information we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. You may also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) if you believe we are handling your information incorrectly.
Write to info@dailydeen.dk to exercise these rights. Because the account is anonymous, we may need information from the app to find the right data.
Children
Parts of DailyDeen are made for children. The app collects no personal information from children beyond the anonymous device ID and the progress described above.
Changes
If we change this policy we update the date at the top. Significant changes are announced in the app.
